Sclerotherapy, or thread vein removal, is a well-established cosmetic procedure for the removals of unwanted, and often unsightly, thread veins – also commonly known as spider veins – that appear on a person’s face or legs (not advisable below the knee). The procedure is carried out by a small injection into the broken vein.
Thread veins are a common aesthetic complaint and mainly occur among women, but they may also affect men, especially if they work outdoors.
Sclerotherapy treatment normally takes up to an hour – the number of sessions required is dependent on the severity of the problem and the extent of the treatment needed. Fiona, our registered nurse, will be able to discuss this with you during your consultation.
We pride ourselves on our after-care. We offer a comprehensive and extensive post-treatment care program free of charge.
