“You are what you eat!” – we seem to hear that all around us at the moment, it is a phrase that may even be at risk of becoming a little jaded.  However, we should not ignore it.  We certainly are what we eat, or to be more accurate, we are what we absorb.

  • Digestive disorders/IBS
  • Headaches/migraines
  • Eczema/asthma
  • Tiredness/lethargy
  • Poor complexion/acne
  • Stress
  • Hormonal problems
  • Depression/mood swings
  • Aches and pains
  • Weight issues
These are just some of the most common ailments of modern life – and they are on the increase.  However, we don’t have to put up with them.  Many of these conditions can be dramatically improved, if not eradicated by altering one’s dietary habits and being aware of the effects of different foods on the body.

Nutritional therapists are trained to treat the whole person rather than the isolated symptoms.  We recognise that any health problem you experience is related to a unique set of criteria – medical and family history, diet, lifestyle and so on.  By taking the time to build a picture of the whole you, we can offer a treatment which is equally unique.  We also use a number of screening processes – ranging from hair mineral analysis to saliva and hormonal tests to help diagnose problems and determine the best method of treatment.

Through holistic profile-building and clinical tests we are able to discover how your diet is affecting your health.  It may simply be that you are consuming too much coffee, or have an allergy to wheat.  Alternatively, the problem might be more complex, requiring careful regulated intake of specific nutrients.  Whatever the illness, the nutritionist uses dietary changes and supplements to get to the root of the problem.

Our nutritionist can treat people of all ages – a baby with colic, a child with asthma, a teenager with chronic fatigue, a young woman with migraines, a middle aged man with high cholesterol, a sixty year old with arthritis, a couple who a finding it hard to conceive.
